If you are interested in diving into the world of the “Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus” aka SCUBA, the Avery Point campus offers both intro and advanced courses each fall semester (both for credit).
MARN 1160: Intro to Scientific Diving
This is a basic course in which you may gain an open-water certification upon successful completion of the course.
MARN 4160: Scientific Diving
Upon successful completion of this course, students may gain certifications for scientific diver, CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen administration.
